Futures Industry Association (FIA)

When FIA engaged us to redesign their flagship publication, Futures Industry, their board of directors was contemplating renaming the publication and the organization itself. Because that outcome would be unknown for several months, we took the unusual step of designing the interior before the nameplate and cover treatment—turning the process upside down to expedite the project. Specifying fonts and adjusting text size, spacing and weight improved legibility. Detailed templates, with consultative support at implementation, simplified an in-house workflow. The resulting clean, cohesive layout distinguished the magazine from its competitors and reaffirmed its position as the voice of the industry.
